Familia Zuccardi Launches Jose Zuccardi Malbec 2013 Valle de Uco, an Evolution of Zuccardi Zeta

Familia Zuccardi is pleased to introduce the latest addition within the Zuccardi collection, José Zuccardi Malbec.

Familia Zuccardi is pleased to introduce the latest addition within the Zuccardi collection, José Zuccardi Malbec. The new wine was created by Sebastian Zuccardi to honor his father José Alberto, and will be imported to the United States by Winesellers, Ltd.

“The Zuccardi family has been a long-time partner of ours, and the third-generation of winemakers led by Sebastian Zuccardi is pushing the boundaries of winemaking in the Uco Valley,” said Winesellers, Ltd. Vice President Adam Sager. “José Zuccardi Malbec 2013 is the evolution of the Zuccardi Zeta label, made with a more traditional style that symbolizes José’s passion for the family’s wine, respect for the origin of the grapes, and his conviction for mountain wines.”

José Zuccardi is 90% Malbec (Paraje Altamira; 3,608 ft. above sea level) and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon (Gualtallary; 4,460 ft. above sea level). The wine is fermented in concrete vessels made from all-natural materials from the surrounding land and is aged in large oak foudres. It has a ruby-red color with aromas of black raspberry and fresh herbs on the nose. Jose Zuccardi Malbec is refreshing and balanced on the palate with layers of chalky textures that fill out the finish.

“Zuccardi Zeta has been an iconic wine for us, blending the best of each crop from year to year, and I’ve incorporated those same ideals in developing Jose Zuccardi Malbec,” said Sebastian Zuccardi. “This wine pays homage to my father and keeps those original values intact, serving as a tribute to the history of our family’s winemaking in the Uco Valley.”

A selection of Familia Zuccardi wines are distributed to the U.S. market by Winesellers, Ltd., an award-winning wine importer and marketer with a diverse portfolio of quality wines, the majority of which are family-owned and operated brands.

Retailing at $45 a bottle, the new Jose Zuccardi Malbec offering will roll out nationally later in the fall. For more information, please visit www.winesellersltd.com.
