About the Brand
LTD Kardenakhi 7 is not just a winery. It’s a personal vault of Georgia’s viticultural heritage. Nestled in the historic village of Kardenakhi, the estate has quietly nurtured exceptional wines for over three decades. At the heart of this story is Malkhaz Gvelukashvili, a native Georgian winemaker with a BSc and Master's in Oenology and Fortified Wines. He has represented "Sartorius" in Caucasus region for more than 20 years, and boasts a lifelong dedication to the traditional Kvevri wine-making method—recognized by UNESCO as part of the world's Intangible Cultural Heritage.
What sets LTD Kardenakhi 7 apart is its scientific precision and deep respect for tradition. From a vineyard of 40,000 sq/m of Rkatsiteli grapes, to fermentation in a 140-year-old, 3550L Kvevri, the process honors the old world while embracing innovation. Each wine, particularly Saamo 1987 and Khikhvi 1985, is a masterpiece aged in silence, untouched by commercial forces—until now.
