Uniquely judged against uncompromising criteria, inspected by the judges that came from various trade backgrounds, the Cerro Negro Gran Reserva won the bronze medal in 2018 London Wine Competition that took place in on March 8-9, 2018. All the wine had to pass through the three strict criteria in order to score high enough to get medals. The criteria included quality, value for money and packaging. The Cerro Negro Gran Reserva scored more than 65 including all the three criteria.

Cerro Negro Wine is a mix of varieties including Tannat 50%, Merlot 30%, and Marselan 20%. This wine is matured in French oak barrels for 18 months. It has deep violet color with reddish highlights. The aromas of species and quince used in this wine are excellent. The different grape varieties and ripening time result into an elegant wine with great complexity.

Cerro Negro Gran Reserva was represented by Vina Eden in 2018 London Wine Competition.  This vineyard sits on a rocky mountains slopes of Pueblo Eden. Its soils with mineral character and oceanic influence make it an ideal place for tenable production of unique wines. The winery is built in three levels to use the force of gravity in the different production stages. This process begins at the highest level where grapes are stored and process and ends with wine maturing and aging in the cellar.

The London Wine Competition works on three major criteria which set the competition apart from other wine competitions. Quality is not the only aspect for the real consumer to judge the wine.
