According to Wine Industry Advisor, Kathleen Inman, owner, and winemaker of Inman Family Wines in Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley introduced today an online virtual wine tasting program, bringing the wine country experience directly to the homes of consumers nationwide through social media channels. The winery has introduced four wine packages, each comprised of three bottles of Inman’s vineyard-driven Pinot Noirs, Chardonnay, Rosés and sparkling wines, which can be acquired directly from the winery website at www.inmanfamilywines.com/Wine-Shop. Participants who purchase one of Inman’s three-packs will then be invited to join a series of scheduled online “Meet the Maker” happy hour tastings via Facebook Video Chat, where they can enjoy the wines together with fellow wine lovers. Kathleen Inman will provide in-depth insights. Participants are invited to submit their questions, or simply watch. As a means to support at-risk elderly Americans, 5% of the proceeds will be donated to Meals on Wheels, which provides meal deliveries and assistance with errands.

“As our country collectively goes through this difficult period of social distancing, I wanted to harness the power of the Internet to connect over wine,” says Kathleen Inman. “Social media has received its share of criticism, however in these times, I believe it provides our greatest opportunity to combat the feelings of isolation. Wine is unique in its ability to connect us with our senses, the present moment, and the community. I am looking forward to safely sharing a glass of wine with friends, new and old, through these tastings.”
