First IBWSS Show in London Highlighted the ‘Boundless Possibilities’ of Bulk Wine Market
The International Bulk Wine & Spirits Show (IBWSS) hosted its first show in London on 26 and 27 February and has just announced the dates of the second event in 2019.
IBWSS stated that the show offered “a first-hand look” at how UK importers, distributors, and retailers can become involved in the bulk wine and private label industry
The organizers stated that the event demonstrated that “the bulk wine industry continues to grow at a rapid pace” and that was “excitement” about the future growth prospects in the industry.
The show took place at the Royal Horticultural Halls and featured over 70 exhibitors from countries around the world, including the USA, Australia, South America and Europe.

According to organizer Beverage Trade Network, innovation was a key theme at this year’s show. During the event, a series of new product offerings for the UK market was unveiled, such as new private label spirits from whiskey and bourbon distillers in the US.
Over the two-day show, a selection of speakers presented their thoughts on the industry such as David Richardson of the WSTA who analyzed the current regulatory environment for bulk shipping and bulk goods and Clem Yates MW of Off-Piste Wines who discussed the potential channel conflicts created by private label wines and how best to avoid them.
Registration is now open for the next IBWSS in London, due to be held on 11-12 March 2019 at the Royal Horticultural Halls. IBWSS London exhibitors include bulk wine and spirits suppliers, private label and contract manufacturing service providers, grape growers etc. IBWSS London visitors include wineries, distilleries, importers, distributors, retailers, supermarkets etc. who are looking to build their own private label brand or looking for bulk wine and bulk spirits and find private label manufacturers.
