The awards aim to acknowledge the valuable contribution suppliers make to the wine industry in the fields of Export, Innovation, Environment & Sustainability and the overall highly coveted Supplier of the Year Award.

The awards have gone from strength to strength in recent years with growing support from stakeholders throughout the industry. This event showcases the suppliers that are the leaders in their respective fields. So much goes on behind the scenes to make that perfect bottle of wine and the supply sector plays a major role in assisting the industry to remain globally competitive and profitable. It is important that suppliers are recognised,” said WISA Chairman Matthew Moate.

In addition to the presentation of the awards, WISA has added a silent auction and raffle to the night, proceeds of which will support WISA’s official charity partner, the Leukaemia Foundation. “We’ve amassed over $4,400 worth of unique items and experiences donated by a wide range of supporters and we expect even more before the actual event. The co-operation from our valued sponsors and supporters has been tremendous. We are delighted to be able to assist our official charity partner. This is more than an awards night, it is a night for industry to celebrate success, network, enjoy premium wine donated from sponsors and supporters and raise money for a worthy cause” added Moate.

Entries have closed for the awards and judging for finalists is well underway. WISA Executive Officer, George Willcox commented that “we have some excellent and varied entries. The finalists will shortly be presenting to our panel of judges, consisting of representatives from industry and major event sponsors, and we look forward to announcing the winners on the night.”

Event details can be found at www.wisa.org.au.
