One of Austria’s Most Awarded Winery, Weingut Stoiber Is Now Seeking U.S. Wine Importers

A six-generation family winery rooted in heritage, authenticity, and provenance, for the first time is seeking importer and distribution partners in the United States

About Us

For six generations, the Stoiber family has tended its vineyards at the foot of the Steinberg mountain in Austria’s eastern Weinviertel. With 4 hectares under vine, every bottle reflects an artisanal approach to winemaking: hand-harvested fruit, natural cultivation, and the quiet patience of time-honored cellar craft.
Our philosophy is simple: produce wines that express where they come from.
We avoid artificial fertilizers, prioritize canopy management and soil health, and vinify our grapes with minimal intervention. White wines ferment in stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness and varietal character; reds mature in traditional wooden barrels for depth and balance.
The heart of Weingut Stoiber is our centuries-old earth cellar in Palterndorf, a space whose origins are older than anyone can recall. Here, wines rest naturally at a steady 9°C, maturing gracefully in ideal humidity without artificial cooling. This environment not only preserves the wines’ integrity but embodies the cultural soul of the Weinviertel.
Our commitment to quality has earned recognition across Europe—including being named Best White Wine Producer in Austria at the 2023 Austrian Wine Challenge.
