DESTIHL Brewery officially announced that it will expand distribution of its beers internationally to South Korea, with a first shipment heading out this week.
Earlier this year, DESTIHL opened its massive, new production facility in Normal, Illinois, after outgrowing its initial production facility which opened in 2013.
“Getting our new, destination production brewery operational this year is really allowing us to expand production, grow within our existing markets and open doors into new, exciting markets, even global markets, which are seeking our unique beers,” said Founder, CEO and Brewmaster, Matt Potts. “Obviously South Korea is a non-traditional market for a US craft brewer, but we were sought after by and saw a unique opportunity to partner with Brewmasters International to begin our international growth for the first time throughout the South Korean peninsula.”
Beers from DESTIHL’s industry-changing WiLD SOUR Series and its other core beer offerings will be introduced into the South Korea craft beer scene in the coming weeks. The first shipment includes the following:
WiLD SOUR Series (12oz cans) – Here Gose Nothin’, Synchopathic, Flanders Red; and,
Core Beers (12oz cans) – Moonjumper Milk Stout, Amra Mango IPA
“South Korea has a thirst for American craft beer, and we’re not alone in the thought that we provide a unique offering that will fill a niche in this foreign market,” said Neil Reinhardt, DESTIHL’s Director of Sales.
