Connecticut Distributors Inc. (CDI), founded in 1933, is one of the largest wine and spirits distributors in the state, handling more than 3,000 on-premise and 1,125 off-premise accounts and employing approximately 245 Associates.

CDI is a member of The Charmer Sunbelt Group (CSG) one of the nation’s leading distributors of fine wines, spirits, beer and other beverages. A group of privately held companies, CSG operates local distributor and/or brokerage houses in 15 markets: Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Maryland, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York (Metro and Upstate), Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. Together, these companies employ more than 7,000 associates who bring to market some of the most valuable and well-known consumer brands in the world. Slocum & Sons is a generations-long fine wine and spirits distributor in Connecticut. Since its inception, Slocum & Sons has acted as both importer and distributor of fine wines within the State of Connecticut. Today's experienced and innovative management has recently expanded the import side of the business into other markets throughout the United States through its Slocum Imports division. Producers within the Slocum Imports portfolio have received exceptional critical acclaim from the Country's most important wine publications. Hartley & Parker

Hartley & Parker is one of the premier wholesalers of fine wines and spirits in the state of Connecticut. Founded in 1941, the company remains a family run organization committed to achieving exceptional service in the presentation and delivery of our products. From a humble beginning as a small regional wholesaler, Hartley & Parker has continually expanded its growth throughout the state and is currently a full state distributor. We carry over 6,000 brands of fine wines and spirits from all over the world. Our extensive and growing product portfolio includes everything from cooking wines to super-premium wines and spirits.

 

Worldwide Wines

Worldwide Wines became incorporated in 1977 and presently has forty-four full-time employees who are veterans of the wine, spirits, restaurant, and hotel industries. Their decades of experience offer invaluable support to our restaurant and retail customers. Worldwide Wines is a division of Brescome Barton, Inc., based in New Haven, Connecticut.

The Worldwide Wine portfolio includes the finest wines from around the world including selections from California, Oregon, Washington, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Austria, Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, Chile, Massachusetts, South Africa, Israel, Japan and India.

 

Star Distributors, Inc

Star Distributors, Inc. is a third-generation wholesale beverage distributor founded in 1936 by Michael Gallo Sr. Formed out of the bankrupt Rudy F. Baker Distributing Company, Michael Gallo Sr. formed The A. Gallo Distributing Company focused on selling beer in the greater Danbury, CT area. Through a partial consolidation of the Gene Zeoli Distributing Company, The A. Gallo Distributing Company expanded to distribute to Litchfield County. The partial purchase of Gary Beer of Bridgeport brought a fuller portfolio to the A. Gallo Distributing Company, strengthening its hold on Fairfield County.

 

G&G Beverage Distributors, Inc

G&G Beverage Distributors, Inc. officially began business on December 9, 1980. The first building was a small office and warehouse located in North Haven, Connecticut. In the beginning, we had twenty-one employees. As business increased and more products were incorporated, G&G opened a 61,500 square foot facility. We now employ approximately 60 people in Wallingford, Connecticut. We are known as one of the regions foremost beverage distributorships. The principal stockholders are Mark R. Gingras, the President of our organization and Christine G. Gingras, Secretary/Treasurer. 

 

Brescome Barton, Inc

Brescome Barton, Inc. is the largest wholesale distributor of spirits, wine, and beer in the state of Connecticut. In business since 1936, we have grown significantly through acquisitions and new supplier relationships and continue to grow each year through additional appointments of suppliers and brands.

 

New England Wine & Spirits, Inc.

New England Wine & Spirits, Inc. was founded in 1983 by Richard Eriksen and Michael O'Hara. These two industry veterans built the New England Wine & Spirits with a heavy emphasis on importing. Many of their wines were exclusively imported and distributed by New England Wine & Spirits both locally and nationally.

In the 1990's, New England Wine & Spirits' portfolio expanded to include many world-renowned wines such as Bogle, Barefoot, Wente, and Seghesio. With the increase in sales and brands, the company moved to North Haven, CT to double the size of the warehouse and office space in 2004.
 

Northeast Beverage

Northeast Beverage is comprised of wholesale distribution groups focusing in two major industries: Flooring and Beverages.
In 1959 Antonio Mancini purchased a liquor distributor called Providence Beverage Co. They started with 15 employees; some that are still with us today. As time progressed consolidation among distributors in the beverage industry provided expansion opportunities for the Company (in fact there were some twenty-nine distributors in the late 50’s and now there are only a few). In 1989 the Company entered into a shared service-shipping venture known as Centrex. This partnership is one of the first distribution centers of its kind in the wholesale beverage distribution business.
