Stewart Cellars is proud to announce a new red blend, Tartan, featuring the family’s Scottish hunting plaid on the label. The Tartan red blend is being released just in time for the one-year anniversary of the opening of Stewart Cellars’ Yountville tasting room. Siblings James Stewart and Caroline Stewart Guthrie, the second generation of the Stewart family, and Blair Guthrie, husband of Caroline, are extremely proud to celebrate the successes of this past year and feature a newly released wine.

“We can’t believe a year has gone by here at Stewart Cellars, Yountville. We are excited to celebrate with this new wine release that showcases our Scottish heritage,” said Caroline Stewart Guthrie, co-proprietor. “As Scotts, Tartan is always in fashion and that’s why we are so thrilled that plaid has become this fall’s must-have print. Grab a bottle of Stewart Cellars Tartan and you’re sure to be in style.”

James, Caroline, and Blair oversee all aspects of the winery’s operations from sales and marketing, to finance, to vineyard management, winemaking, and managing their staff. Together, James Stewart, Caroline Stewart Guthrie, and Blair Guthrie carry on Michael Stewart’s vision of crafting the finest wines possible— wines they are proud to stand behind, and wines that reflect the family tradition of quality, heritage, and commitment.

The Stewart Cellars Red Blend, Tartan, is the third new wine in the Stewart family portfolio this year. Earlier this year, they released their 2016 Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley, and a 2016 Rosé, Sonoma Mountain. Michael Stewart first began making a Stewart Cellars Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. James, Caroline, and Blair have grown the collection to include Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Rosé and now a red blend, Tartan.

“I am excited to now offering a red blend to our Stewart Cellars line-up,” said Blair Guthrie, winemaker. “We are able to access some amazing vineyards and growers and are thrilled to be able to make a new red blend wine that features these locations.”

The Stewart Cellars Tartan red blend is jam-packed with aromas of cherry, dark mint of cherry, dark mint chocolate, and hints of cinnamon. The wine’s smooth body and seamless structure are integrated with precision, make this red blend a beautiful wine to drink now or to cellar for the next fifteen years. It will be sold both at the tasting room and online at www.stewartcellars.com.
