O’Neill Vintners & Distillers is pleased to announce the launch of Day Owl Rosé in 375ml cans (SRP $7.00/375ml). The Day Owl brand is a super- premium domestic rosé, the category for which the upward trend of canned wine is most attributed. Day Owl Rosé in cans is available in markets nationwide beginning June 1st.

Growing at a +98 percent rate, rosé in cans is the top-earning varietal in the canned wine category, nearly double annual sales of other leading varietals. The super-premium price point is the top-earning price point for 375 ml cans at $8.6MM annually in sales and growing at +110 percent.  Wine in cans accounted for $70 million in retail sales in the United States over the year ending in March, up from $42 million in the previous year. (Nielsen 52 Week Period Ending 4/20/2019) The canned wine category is largely domestic with 90 percent of the category from the United States.
