Meet Blue Pyrenees Estate’s Fantastic Four – Medal Winners at the Leading Wine Competition in London
Blue Pyrenees Estate took home four medals from the London Wine Competition that took place on March 8-9, 2018 in London.
It is always great to be recognized as one of the many best wines. Blue Pyrenees Estate owns those four wines which brought pride to the winery in terms of medals in a wine competition. Hundreds of wineries entered their wines in 2018 London Wine Competition and reserved their place in a global wine industry.
2015 Blue Pyrenees Section One Shiraz won the gold medal while 2015 Blue Pyrenees Merlot, 2015 Blue Pyrenees Cabernet Sauvignon and 2015 Blue Pyrenees Shiraz won bronze medals. The vintage 2015 Blue Pyrenees Section One Shiraz is bright ruby red in appearance with aromas of ripe and fragrant blueberry fruit, toasty oak, subtle mushrooms and spice. This Shiraz was formerly known as Reserve Shiraz. As the majority of this wine was made from the oldest Shiraz vines known as ‘Section one’, it adopted the new name ‘Section One Shiraz’ in 2013. Section One Shiraz is made from 40 plus-year-old vines. Ruby red with a purple hue, 2015 Blue Pyrenees Merlot is a bronze medal winner. With aromas of red berry fruits, regional mint and background French Oak, this medium-bodied wine is memorable for its fragrance and bright fruit flavours. 2015 Blue Pyrenees Cabernet Sauvignon is also a bronze medal winner of 2018 London Wine Competition. This bright ruby red wine has aromas of blackberry fruits and toasty cedar oak.

Blue Pyrenees Estate was founded in 1963 by the French Company Remy Martin. Today, Blue Pyrenees is Australian owned and run by Chief winemaker Andrew Koerner. All their wines are made from the grapes grown in their vineyards and produced in their estate winery.

About the Competition
The London Wine Competition recognizes and rewards the wine brands that have successfully been created to identify with and target a specific wine drinker. The competition judges wine in three key areas - quality, value for money and packaging. To be an award winner in this competition, all you need to have is a good quality wine that offers great value for money and a look that stands out on the shelf of the bar. 2019 London Wine Competition is back and if you have a wine(s) with the above qualities, you can enter your wines here.
