Martha Stewart Launches Wine Company

American Entrepreneur Martha Stewart has branched out from home furnishings into wine with the launch of a home delivery service.

The Martha Stewart Wine Company is an online service offering users the chance to buy bundles of wines from around the world cherry picked by Stewart.

Collections are grouped by style, region and country, and include West Coast wine from California and Washington; a French selection; Italian reds; ‘worldly whites’; the ‘life is sweet’ selection; ‘Martha’s favourites’ and a 12-bottle ‘discovery’ case.

Stewart roped in former French Laundry sommelier Chris Hoel to help her pick the wines in a collaboration with wine delivery marketing company ‘Drinks’. She promises that the wines have all passed her personal test for quality, flavour, and the ability to pair well with food.

“I’m excited to bring my passion for wine to wine lovers across the nation with Martha Stewart Wine Co,” Stewart said in a statement.

“Wine has played an important role in that part of my life focused on entertaining and teaching others how to entertain. With the launch of this fabulous online wine shop, I’m confident that we can teach consumers how to enjoy the right wine at every occasion,” she added.

The online shop sells wine by the bottle with no subscription required. Prices range from $12.49 to $25, with the 12-bottle ‘discovery’ pack costing $119.98.
