Extending its line of highest-quality, everyday wines, CK Mondavi and Family today announced a limited-quantity seasonal series designed to spark curiosity with consumers. The first new wine, Sunset Sweet Red Blend, is now shipping to select retailers.

“We know our consumers are open to trying new wines,” said Randy Herron, head winemaker, CK Mondavi and Family. “Introducing these limited-time offerings allows us to harness their excitement, and give our fans something special to pair with the season. We’re using this as an opportunity to have some fun with flavor development while keeping in the CK Mondavi and Family tradition of quality, everyday wines.” 

With a history of strong performance and a loyal consumer base, the nearly 75-year old CK Mondavi and Family winery was recently recognized with a 2019 Growth Brand Award in the Established Brand category from the Beverage Information Group. The award recognizes brands that are top sellers in their category, moved a minimum of 400,000 9-liter cases in 2018, that have also grown sales over each of the last three years.

Luscious and smooth, the Sunset Sweet Red Blend is full-bodied with juicy flavors of strawberry and dark plum to pair with late summer’s BBQ dishes and harvest fare. The new wine will be available throughout the summer and early fall, alongside CK Mondavi and Family Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Red Blend. All CK Mondavi and Family wines sell for a suggested retail price of $6.99.
