Minneapolis, MN) Carlos Creek Winery of Alexandria was recently named a Progress Minnesota 2017 honoree by Finance & Commerce. Now in its sixth year, the Progress Minnesota event showcases the entrepreneurial spirit and economic development occurring across the state and celebrates the accomplishments of those making an economic impact in Minnesota in unique and innovative ways.

Twenty-nine individuals, companies and organizations were honored at the event, held at the Minneapolis Events Center on April 6, a day proclaimed by Governor Mark Dayton as Progress Minnesota Day.

Carlos Creek Winery, owned by Kim and Tami Bredeson, includes 20 acres of vineyards, a tasting room, event center and free tours. The destination hosts numerous events, including the popular annual Grape Stomp, and drew nearly 115,000 visitors in 2016. The winery’s products are served at Minnesota Wild games and other Xcel Energy Center events and at the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis, as well as liquor stores and restaurants around the state.
