Broadland Wineries is introducing Proudly Vegan to meet the growing demand from consumers who have made this lifestyle choice. There are over 1.6m vegans in the US and more than half a million in the UK both representing a significant increase over the last decade. The average age of vegans in the US is 42 and 74% are female, whereas in the UK the average age is lower, with 42% between 15 and 34 years old, and 63% are female.
Proudly doesn’t claim to be the first vegan wine but it is the first where everything is 100% vegan right down to the ink and glue on the labels. The Proudly range starts with two grape varieties both from Chile’s Central Valley – Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot. Registered by the Vegan Society, Proudly Vegan will retail for an approximate rrp of £6.99.

Dr. Arabella Woodrow, Broadland’s MW, explains “We wanted vegans to be able to buy great tasting wine with the confidence that every element is 100% vegan. There is no need for vegans to miss out on good quality wine, and Proudly Vegan fills that gap. The bold Proudly Vegan branding, with clear labeling, will also help consumers find what they want easily in-store instead of having to scrutinize every label to make sure.
Additional varietals will be added to the range in the coming months. Listings across the UK so far include Molson Coors and Ocado. Proudly Vegan is one of the growing numbers of brands owned and developed by Broadland Wineries who can be contacted on 01603 872474. The company has recently created a new corporate logo unveiled today (15 March 2018).
