Waterford Distillery releases first 'single-farm' Irish whiskies
Waterford Distillery, the Irish whisky distillery started by former Bruichladdich CEO Mark Reynier, has launched its first two expressions.
According to the just-drinks,
Bannow Island and Ballykilcavan will roll out to the UK from 22 June, UK distributor Speciality Brands said today. The two whiskies both use malt from single farms and harvests. Specialty Brands described the single-farm approach used by Reynier - influenced by the use of terroir in wine - as a "revolutionary concept" in whisky.
