Tortuga Brands Unveils ‘Cost-Effective’ Logistics Arm
UK drinks agency Tortuga Brands has created a “low-cost” logistics platform for brands that need distribution but already have sales and marketing operations in place.
Launched in June this year, Tortuga Brands is the brainchild of managing director Gary Hazell and board director Peter Davie, who share “many years” of experience working within the international beverage industry.
Through Tortuga Logistics, brands can use the group’s account base to combine orders, decrease minimum order requirements and allow customers to reduce suppliers and admin.
In addition, Tortuga Brands has added four new brands to its portfolio – Vreimuth Vermouth and Mirtillo Liqueur from Austria’s Freihop Distillery, Half Hitch Gin from Camden in London and Lanique Rose Spirit from Poland.

The company’s team in the UK has also expanded with six new members. The new appointments include James Wallace and Aidan Patterson in the Scottish sales team; Jack Barrott, Manchester northwest sales; Jack Fraser-Foulkes and Tamas Kovacs, London west/east sales team; and Ellie Tanner and Willem Barentsz, who have been appointed as brand ambassadors.
“We’re pleased to be able to offer a cost-effective solution to third-party brands who are looking for UK distribution,” said Hazell.
“Tortuga Logistics will help brands get to market whilst the original Tortuga Brands business will continue to help incubate and grow super-premium brands.”
