The world’s largest drinks group Diageo has released its first ready-to-drink (RTD) gin and tonic in Australia: Tanqueray and Tonic.

The pre-mixed beverage is packaged in 275ml green glass bottles and is available to purchase in the off-trade in packs of four.

Diageo hopes the RTD will entice new gin drinkers to the “second fastest-growing” spirits category with its new pre-mixed offering.

“We know that consumers are looking for everyday premium experiences they can enjoy at home where convenience doesn’t compromise on quality,” said Drewe Letchford, Diageo Australia head of strategy and innovation. “Tanqueray and Tonic responds to that consumer demand.

“Gin is on trend right now, it’s the second fastest-growing category within spirits, and in our opinion, one of the most vibrant and interesting.”
