The results are in and the brandies of the famous Bodega Sanchez Romate were the big winners in the 2017 Ultimate Spirits Challenge (USC).

With a score of 95, Cardenal Mendoza Solera Gran Reserva took top honors with the Chairman’s Trophy, USC’s highest award of excellence, as well as a Great Value Award and a Tried & True Award. With a score of 94 Cardenal Mendoza Carta Real Solera Gran Reserva received a Finalist Award and with a score of 93 Cardenal Mendoza Angelus Orange Liqueur took home a Great Value Award.

Now in its seventh year, The Ultimate Spirits Challenge (UBC) provides expert evaluation of wines and spirits for producers, importers and marketers through its two innovative annual competitions: Ultimate Spirits Challenge and Ultimate Wine Challenge. All products are rated on a 100-point scale by some of the spirits industry’s most renowned judges including buyers, journalists, educators and bar owners.
