The expression is described as a blend of Caribbean rum with a green-apple flavour.

Bottled at 30% abv, Captain Morgan Apple Smash is recommended served as a chilled shot, mixed with cinnamon whiskey or in a cocktail with ginger ale.

The new variant joins the brand’s existing range of shot-inspired spirits, which includes, Watermelon Smash, coconut-flavored Coconut, Cannon Blast and Jack-O-Blast.

Captain Morgan Apple Smash is available in the US for an RRP of US$15.99 for a 750ml bottle.

Captain Morgan, a brand of Diageo North America, launched Captain Morgan Apple Smash, a limited-edition rum. Apple Smash blends Caribbean rum with green-apple flavor and is a 30 percent alcohol-by-volume ready-to-drink spirit, the company says.

The packaging also resembles an apple and emanates the aroma of tart green apple when you scratch the bottle, it adds.
