Landskroon Cinsaut 2012
The De Villiers family are now in their 6th generation of ownership of the Landskroon Wine Estate on the south facing slopes of the Paarl Mountain. Young Hugo de Villiers [they’re always called Paul and Hugo, the de Villiers men] is the Estate’s Vineyardist and responsible for the work force on the Estate.
When I first met his grandfather Paul, he was producing the same great Ports and red wines that the preceding Pauls had made for generations. Today, Paul de Villiers is the Cellarmaster, two of his cousins, Huguette and Madelief are as involved in the running of the company as he is. Award winning Michiel du Toit is the Winemaker.
