An Endicott brewery is touting, or "shouting", its claim to brewing the best stouts in New York State.

The North Brewery located on Washington Ave took home 2 gold medals at Tap New York, a statewide beer competition.

The event was recently held at Hunter Mountain, where owner Zach Pedley won gold for Best Stout in New York State.

On Friday, the brewery held a special day dedicated to its signature beer and gold medal winning stout, God Complex.

"Last year, we won with God Complex, our serrano pepper mocha hazelnut coffee stout. This year, we won with SnoKlouds, our coconut and vanilla stout," said Pedley.

"I love North Brewery. It's a good beer and we don't get it often. We wait for nice days like God Complex Day to come and load up," said customer Ian Cote.

The North is entering another competition, this one initiated by Governor Cuomo.

Fans can submit suggestions for their favorite New York State craft brewery until next Monday.

Once the submissions are tallied, the top 5 will take part in a judged beer tasting competition in New York City next Wednesday.
