Pizza Port Brewing Co. is excited to announce the release of Surf Stop Pale Ale, a new limited release offering. Surf Stop will be the brewery’s winter seasonal release, replacing Shark Bite Red Ale. This pale ale was created by the brewers at Pizza Port Bressi Ranch and will be offered in six packs and draft through April.

Following suit with previous limited release cans, Surf Stop combines art and craft beer to convey a story about the beauty and adventure of surfing. “[Surfer and photographer] Steve Sherman discovered this classic sign while searching for a secluded, warm water surf break deep in Baja. The sign represented the excitement & adventure ahead… we hope this beer will inspire you to explore the unknown” states Co-Owner Gina Marsaglia. This is the third Pizza Port limited release can featuring a photograph from Steve Sherman, whose work can also be seen hanging in all five Pizza Port brewpubs.

Surf Stop is an American Pale Ale that balances out at 5.5% abv. “It is a refreshing, uber hoppy brew with a touch of rye. It boasts citrus fruit notes balanced with pepper, malt, and a slight biscuity earthy rye finish,” states Brewing Operations Director Sean Farrell. “The hop profile of Idaho 7, Amarillo, Callista, Melon, Denali, and Polaris give this beer its grapefruit and peach aromas.”

The beer will be released at the start of the new year and will be available throughout California, Nevada, and Arizona.
