The Cameron’s Brewing team has announced the release a new foeder-aged beer, this time drawing inspiration from one of nature’s greatest gifts: the boreal forest.

“Since our latest foeder-aged beer, New Wood Brett Saison, was so well received by our beer fans and was awarded a gold medal at the Ontario Craft Brewing Awards, we were totally pumped to challenge our drinkers’ taste buds again,” said Brewmaster Jason Britton.

“Literally, the possibilities are endless when it comes to finding ingredients to make complex and delicious craft beer,” added Curtis Jeffrey, Head Brewer. “This time we picked a blend of truly unique ingredients native to the boreal forest.Cameron’s Boreal Inspired Wild Ale is brewed with rye malt, piney hops, juniper berries and hand-foraged cloudberries from Quebec.”

The result is a complex balance of pine, juniper and wild yeast funk drifting in and out of the cloudberry, white wine and bubble gum essence. The soft spiciness from the rye harmonizes with the foeder’s oak presence and adds a subtle tangy finish.
