3 Oceans Wine Company is a producer and exporter of premium wines from Western Australia's renowned growing regions of Margaret River and Frankland River.

We are passionate, innovative and knowledgeable with a love of good wine, a commitment to excellent customer service and with eyes firmly on the future.

Unmistakably larger than most other cellar doors, the 3 Oceans Cellar Door/Store/Café offers something for all ages and interests - mobile tasting benches which cater for small or large groups and a high-tech computer games area to entertain youngsters while parents browse through ranges of wines, clothing and local produce. Activity areas include a volleyball court and outdoor areas large enough for families to enjoy a game of cricket.

Ben RoadhouseBen Roodhouse - Senior Winemaker

Ben Roodhouse has been in the Wine industry now for 25 years. Growing up in South Australia in the wine growing region of the Adelaide Hills is where he first was introduced at an early age to winemaking and vineyards.

 

 

 

 

Jonathan Mettam - Winemaker

2003 saw Jonathan make the inevitable return to the Margaret River region, this time with his wife and two daughters, for the assistant winemaking role at Wise Wines. Three vintages later I made the move to 3 Oceans Wine Company where I remain as operations winemaker.

The Rivers

The Rivers range is built on classic, consistent and quality wines made to enjoy now. The Rivers is aptly named after the two premium, pristine wine regions of Margaret River and Frankland River which holds the locations of 3 Oceans Estate vineyards.

White Classic | 2014

Sauvignon Blanc Semillon
Lifted passionfruit and lime blossom aromas flow into a zesty palate of tropical and citrus flavours tightly held together by bright acidity. Fresh, delicate and crisp.

Rose | 2014

Shiraz Tempranillo Grenache
Hot off the press and crisp as you like this rose was made with fun in mind. Strawberries and cream excite the senses, the sweet fresh raspberries and crisp acidity tantalise the palate. Take a sip, this Rose will take you to pleasure town.

Red Classic | 2013

Shiraz
Colour as dark as midnight, this brooding Frankland River Shiraz is rich and seductive. Plush plummy fruit, velvety tannins and well seasoned oak combine and scream drink me.

Sweet Classic | 2014

Semillon Chardonnay Sauvignon Blanc
The Sweet Classic is a fun and fruity delight to fill the senses with joy and frivolity. The wine has lifted sweet confectionery aromas and a palate of abundant sweet and juicy fruit salad flavours. Enjoy chilled.

The Estates

The Estates range of wines are elegant and rich in flavor and are partly produced from Frankland River, one of the coolest and most isolated wine growing regions in Australia. The range has been named after the two unique 3 Oceans Estate vineyards in Margaret River (Home Block Vineyard) and Frankland River (Wilkes Vineyard).

Sauvignon Blanc Semillon | 2014

Tropical characters from the Sauvignon Blanc combine with lifted lemon and fresh herb characters from Semillon, create an enticing aroma that is delicately expressed and retained on the palate with minerality and bright acidity.

Chardonnay | 2014

The Chardonnay from our Margaret River vineyard is 100% barrel fermented and matured in French oak, gaining creamy texture and complexity from regular lees stirring for a further 6 months. Layers of citrus and white stone fruit sit atop the creamy flavours and texture, and are balanced by beautifully seasoned oak and bright lemony acidity.

Blanc de Blanc Sparkling | 2013

Made from estate grown Chardonnay. Bright lemon sorbet and lime zest aromas delight and entice. Delicate fine bead, lean tight citrus fruits and a creamy mid palate. This sparkling is the perfect aperitif for any occasion.

Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot | 2011

Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from our Frankland River and Margaret River estates combine to produce varietal cassis, redcurrants and dried herb aromas, with bright toast from maturation in French oak barriques for 12 months. Line and length from an exceptional vintage.
80% Cabernet Sauvignon 20% Merlot.

The Chairman 2009

Our Frankland River vineyard is in arguably one of the best Shiraz growing regions in Australia. 'The Chairman' Shiraz is carefully crafted from hand-selected fruit from our cool-climate Frankland River vines to produce a super premium iconic Western Australian wine.

Shiraz | 2009

A classic cool climate Shiraz from Frankland River. The complex elegant nose of red fruits and a palate of ripe red berries and raspberries, with hints of black pepper and spice. The Wine is carefully balanced with silky tannins and balanced French and American oak integration, giving the palate structure and great length.

The Explorers

The Explorers represent the best in Western Australian winemaking with it's pristine climate and beautiful weather, producing wines of distinctive originality and regionality. This range of wines have been created using hand-selected parcels of fruit from some of the best vineyard sites in the Margaret River and Frankland River regions of Western Australia. The Explorers wines are named in tribute to the immigrant settlers who discovered and forged a whole new life for themselves and their families in Western Australia viticulture and winemaking.

Select parcels of Margaret River chardonnay were wild fermented in 100% French oak barriques and matured with regular batonage for a period of 8 months. The citrus and white peach aromas complex with fluffy lees and funky wild yeast characters that flow onto the palate and provide creamy texture and layers of flavour with soft acidity and impressive length.

Cabernet Sauvignon | 2012

The best parcels of Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon and the finest French oak were chosen to produce a wine with distinction. Elegant flavours of dark cherry and star anise are supported by sweet tannins, the typical line and length of this variety enhanced by a fine backbone of cedary mocha oak.

Shiraz | 2013
Winestate 5 Stars

The finest parcels of Shiraz from our Frankland River estate were blended to create a wine with distinction. Ripe raspberries and vanillin aromas entice and lead to a plush palate of rich red fruits with great depth. Velvety tannins cradle the fruit and give the wine a sumptuous mouth feels with notable length.

Sauvignon Blanc Semillon | 2011

Select parcels of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon from our Margaret River Estate are blended and 100% barrel fermented in French oak barriques. 6 months of barrel maturation and regular lees stirring follow to integrate the lemon scented tropical fruits and lightly toasted oak characters to create a complex and textured wine with great poise and length.
