Château Gabachot is a family owend and operated winery in the heart of the Bordeaux wine region since 1956. At that time, Roger Fernandez purchased the property of just 6 hectares and expanded over a 50 year period to englobe 44 hectares. His grandson Jean and his wife have now increased the winery to include more than 60 hectares (100 acres) of vines. Merlot is the dominant red grape varietal, along with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. As for the white grapes, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillion, and Sauvignon Gris complete the property. The yearly production of wines is approximately 480,000 bottles per year. We produce very high quality wines that are round, smooth and complex that are perfect for drinking early and wonderful when aged. We pride ourselves on quality for price.
Château Gabachot lovingly produces four wines: Bordeaux red, Bordeaux superior red, Bordeaux rosé and an entre-deux-mers white.
