Established in Bordeaux since 1840, Dourthe was quickly recognized as a reference producer in Bordeaux, reliable and innovative. This pioneering spirit is found at every stage of our history. They realized that it was possible in Bordeaux to move the lines and create new standards in 1987, with the project of Dourthe N ° 1 and the creation of a new style of dry white wine in Bordeaux. They have selected motivated winemaking partners, they have guided them in their farming practices, they have implemented the new winemaking principles. Dourthe N ° 1 has been an immediate success and has become a real innovation, the reference for dry white wine in Bordeaux. At that time, they also understood that if they wanted to go further, they had to develop their own vineyards. This was the starting point for their growing involvement in viticulture. After Château Belgrave in 1979, they have taken over eight new properties over the last twenty-five years. Each property was a specific adventure but during this period they developed a growing passion for their vineyards and their wines, put in place in all properties the improvement plan that was needed. All these achievements have been possible only through a great passion, a lot of work and a taste for innovation that pushes us every day to surpass themselves.
