Established in 2007, the Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey-based East Coast Beer Co. (ECBC) was founded by passionate individuals with a belief that the great American traditions of creativity, diversity, and accessibility apply equally to building a great beer company. Led by two long-time friends, John Merklin and Brian Ciriaco, East Coast Beer Co.’s first beer, Beach Haus®, is a Classic American Pilsner (CAP) which was crafted to pay homage to those early German-American brewers and the CAP style they created. The company continues to explore and fuel their love of craft beer by cultivating and developing new brews, as evidenced by the launch of their second and third beers – Winter Rental, a dark, seasonal lager with roasted malts and a hint of chocolate, and Kick Back Ale, an American amber ale with a pleasing hop aroma, caramel rich body and a refreshingly balanced finish.
