Description

Purple red is the color of the Roman Empire, red are the Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes, red is Honorius, red is the noble color from which our wine takes its name.

The vinification respects the ancient tradition handed down since the nineteenth century Matelicese, which tells of slightly overripe grapes, aged in small oak barrels, from which it draws its emotions and its hints of crushed wood. After two years of aging in cask, this powerful red acquires its important organoleptic heritage. A wise balance between structure and softness, body and warmth, for a wine that awakens ancient emotions and forgotten sensations. The Imperial aspect, with Ruby tones, with strong intensity and brilliance.

The scent of spices harmoniously dominates the hints of ripe fruit, the intensity and persistence are important. Full-bodied, full-bodied but elegant taste; round in the overall sensation, notes of smoke and ripe red fruits can be identified; sapid and with a hint of residual sweet tannins.

Processing: 30% in steel, 70% in small first year French oak barrels.

Taste: Full-bodied, elegant, smoky notes of ripe red fruits; Sapid and with a vein of gentle residual tannicity.
