3. Dinastia Vivanco

Located in Briones in La Rioja Alta, Vivanco is a functional winery which was built underground so as to keep as much the vineyard surface area as possible, to minimize the environmental impact and preserve the beautiful landscape of La Rioja.

4. Bodegas Protos

Protos, which comes from the Greek word for "FIRST", has the pride and the privilege of having found maturity and ease in the best and the foremost of the wineries in the area and of having been a recognized trademark all this time.

In 1927, boldness and the love a group of local vine growers felt for the land achieved the union of their best efforts, creating the Winery, the Foremost in the Ribera. A project for the future that has not only reached our days intact, it has grown and multiplies year by year and has taken its name proudly to the highest international levels.

The 30s represented its definite settlement at the international level. The 1929 World Exposition in Barcelona gave a particularly strong impulse to this tendency, awarding Gold Medals to its red wines.

5. Marqués de Murrieta

Marqués de Murrieta´s foundation is linked to the origins of the Rioja wines since Luciano Murrieta produced in 1852 the first Rioja wine and was also the first one to export his wines. Luciano, appointed Marquis by King Amadeo of Savoy thanks to his work in Rioja, traveled to Bordeaux to learn the winemaking techniques that he introduced later in Spain. He established the concept of “château” in the Ygay Estate where he built the emblematic Ygay Castle.

6. Bodegas López de Heredia ‘Viña Tondonia’

In the mythical city of Haro, the capital of La Rioja Alta, perhaps where the extraordinary combination of climate goodness and the severity of the land is best, are the Bodegas López de Heredia, the oldest in Haro and one of the first three of La Rioja.

The vineyards occupy a total area of 170 hectares, with an average annual production of about 800,000 kilos of grapes, which are destined to the elaboration of the wines of the highest quality. Their strategic situation, the exceptional quality of the plantations, as well as the varieties used, have their essential complement in a magnificent winery, whose creation process was similar to the planting of the vineyards, slowly, with the maximum affection.

7. Freixenet SA

10. Campo Viejo – Logroño

It’s a large winemaking and aging winery, with innovative installations and a huge and beautiful wine barrel cellar.
