Rhône Valley’s Largest Grower-Owned Winery, Cellier Des Dauphins Launches New Brand Identity and Range of Wines in U.S.

New three tier product range to focus on premium expression of Côtes du Rhône, Côtes du Rhône Villages, and Crus des Côtes du Rhône

12/12/2019

Cellier des Dauphins, producer of the pioneering Rhône Valley wine brand Les Dauphins, is proud to announce a new brand identity and website (www.cellier-des-dauphins.com), as well as an exciting range of wines set for release in the U.S.

Starting with the launch of a new brand identity, Cellier des Dauphins now boasts a new logo that references the historic Dauphiné region (now where the Southern Rhône Valley is today) as the ‘wine cellar to the heirs of the throne of France’, plus a bespoke bottle and redesigned set of packaging that reflects the iconic look, feel, and heritage of the first Cellier des Dauphins wines released in France.

Coinciding with the new look, Cellier de Dauphins released a new portfolio of premium Côtes du Rhône wines under the ‘Reserve’ label in November, comprising a red, white and rosé priced at SRP: $14.95. The ‘Reserve’ range offers a modern take on the traditional Southern Rhône style, which was historically known for its fruit driven character, by focusing more on aromatic blends that can over deliver on complexity and structure. The goal for the range will be to establish a new identity and benchmark for the Côtes du Rhône category that can resonate with a different generation of wine consumers.

Moving up in quality, Cellier des Dauphins will also be releasing in December a super-premium lineup focused on showcasing the diversity of Southern Rhône terroirs and micro-climates as part of a Côtes du Rhône Villages range featuring geographic expressions from notable villages such as Puymeras and Plan de Dieu. This Côtes du Rhône Villages range, a specialty of Cellier des Dauphins, will feature images and profiles of individual winegrowers from each appellation on the labels. The Villages range will be priced between $16.99 and 18.99.

At the top of the new portfolio, Cellier des Dauphins will be launching for the first time, a flagship lineup of limited edition Southern Rhône Crus as part of their ‘Crus des Côtes du Rhône’ range. Focusing on the exceptional terroirs of Vinsobres, Cairanne, Vacqueyras, and Chateauneuf-du-Pape, these individually numbered bottlings represent the pinnacle of Cellier des Dauphins’ winegrowing and winemaking capabilities. The ‘Crus des Côtes du Rhône’ range is expected to be priced between SRP: $20.00 and $60.00 and will be available in the U.S. in February 2020.

The new portfolio of Cellier des Dauphins will be imported into east coast states by Monsieur Touton Selection (www.mtouton.com) and Plume Ridge (www.plumeridge.com) for west coast and southern states starting in November with the Cellier des Dauphins Reserve Côtes du Rhône 2018 Red (which was recently awarded a Platinum Medal and 97 Points at the 2019 Decanter World Wine Awards).
