Old Bridge Cellars (OBC) is pleased to announce the expansion of its portfolio to include legendary Stags Leap District estate, Clos Du Val. As of July 1, 2017, OBC will partner with Clos Du Val in undertaking the winery's sales and marketing activities nationwide.

Founded in 1972, Clos Du Val is one of the wineries that put Napa Valley on the map as a globally renowned wine region. From its participation in the famed 1976 Judgement of Paris onwards, Clos Du Val has earned a reputation as an icon of Napa Valley winemaking, with an estate program spanning more than 300 acres, including 100 acres of Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon.

Since 2014, Clos Du Val has focused exclusively on producing estate-grown wines made from the winery's vineyards in Stags Leap District, Yountville, and Carneros.  This new estate-focused portfolio, which was developed by the veteran winery team of Winemaker Ted Henry and Director of Operations Jon-Mark Chappellet, includes the Napa Valley Estate Cabernet Sauvignon (SRP $55), Hirondelle Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon (SRP $125) and Three Graces Cabernet Blend (SRP $179), as well as the Estate Pinot Noir (SRP $40) and Estate Chardonnay (SRP $35) from Clos Du Val's Gran Val Vineyard in Carneros.

"We have been looking for a Napa Valley winery with deep roots in the area for three years now. We're thrilled to have found a partnership with Clos Du Val, which is one of Napa Valley's iconic names," said Rob Buono, president, Old Bridge Cellars. "This is a great fit with our focus on authentic producers who demonstrate a sense of place in their wines."

Steve Tamburelli, Clos Du Val's president, adds, "The past several years have been a time of unprecedented change at Clos Du Val that has touched every aspect of our winery. Because OBC has such an exceptional track record of representing special family-owned wineries from around the world, it is extremely exciting for us to partner with them during this renaissance for our winery."

As of July 1, 2017, the wines will be available through Old Bridge Cellars. OBC will maintain the existing Clos Du Val distributor network currently being used on a national basis.

ABOUT CLOS DU VAL
In 1972, Clos Du Val acquired 150 acres of estate vineyards in the heart of the Stags Leap District and made its first wines, including Clos Du Val's legendary debut 1972 Cabernet Sauvignon—one of only six California Cabernets selected for the famous 1976 Judgment of Paris Tasting. Today, Clos Du Val's acclaimed estate program has evolved to include an additional 180 acres in Carneros, and an 18-acre vineyard in Yountville. From this diverse palette of estate fruit, which includes 30 distinct blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon, Clos Du Val makes elegantly structured wines notable for their balance, complexity and vivid fruit.
