Bacardi-Martini Australia (BMA) has revealed that it is re-launching family-owned Venezuelan rum, Santa Teresa, in Australia.
Located in the Valley of Aragua, the hacienda Santa Teresa has a climate ranging from hot, humid days to cold, dry nights which help with the rum’s ageing process.
Bacardi-Martini Regional VP NAPAC, Denis Brown, was delighted to welcome the rum to the BMA stable.
“An exceptional single state rum crafted by extraordinary people, Santa Teresa, is a tremendous addition and will complement our existing award-winning portfolio in the rapidly growing ‘Discovery Rum’ category,” Brown said.
“The liquid profile is unique, crafted to highest standards (SFWSC double gold winner and BIT six times gold winner)”.
The distillery was founded in 1796 and this single-estate rum is a blend between four and 35 years of age.
