Lidl has just announced that its famous pink gins were their fastest-selling ones to date, with over 400 bottles flying off the shelves per hour in the first few days. That's seven every minute.

The gins in question are budget German supermarket's new hand-crafted, pink-hued gins in Rhubarb and Ginger and Scottish Raspberry flavours. Although with both bottles selling for just £11.99 each, we're not exactly surprised.

But with Christmas still over a month away, Lidl are apparently upping its stocks of the coveted liqueur, with new bottles of the stuff expected in early December.

The £12 price tag is considerably cheaper than other pink gins on the market at the moment, such as Gordon's £16.50 iconic strawberry and raspberry version, which is only available from Tesco, but has plenty of stock left.

John Lewis also do an £18 Edinburgh Gin in ginger and rhubarb flavour, with the same dashing hue, while Fortnum and Mason, of course, have their own, for a whopping £32.90.
