Japanese-inspired Kuro London Dry Gin to Launch at Imbibe Live

Kuro, a London dry gin will bring botanicals to its launch at Imbibe Live.

Silver birch bark, spruce needles and bamboo-activated charcoal – well, that’s certainly one way of standing out from the gin crowd.

Kuro, a London dry gin, will bring these botanicals (and I suspect a few more treats) to its launch at Imbibe Live.

How did such a thing come about? A skiing trip in the Hakuba Valley region of Japan, of course. Creators Craig Fell and John Thomson wanted to bottle their ‘epic alpine experience’, like totally, and ‘unleash it’ in the form of this rather special gin.

The Langley Distillery were only too willing to take on the mission and master distiller, Rob Dorsett, has ‘more than delivered on the brief’ to create a ‘unique and drinkable interpretation of Japan’.

‘The thrill of the slopes, beauty of surroundings, and overall sensory experience has been contained in each of the 12 botanicals’ managing director, Fell, said.

‘In the next 12 months we aim to secure national listings in premium bars, restaurants and selected retailers across the country, and establish Kuro among the British gin drinkers’ repertoire.
