The Glenmorangie Distillery founded in 1843, located in Tain, Ross-Shire, Scotland, is responsible for the creation of Scotch's favorite Single Malt whiskey. Glenmorangie is made with the highest quality standards, is made 100% Scottish barley and has an unparalleled heritage and innovative processes such as extra ripening.

Extra-Maturation is a process in which Glenmorangie is a pioneer. The whiskey is matured for the first time in a type of barrel (such as a former bourbon), then it is transferred to another type of barrel (such as barrels that previously contained some wine, be it Jerez, Porto, Sauternes, among others) where it passes years gaining more layers of flavor and acquires that final touch that adds a unique dimension of character to whiskeys. The aging process carried out in Glenmorangie whiskeys is really handmade and extremely careful and personalized. Therefore, there is no established aging date since the deadlines are not exact and it can only be said that a whiskey is ready only when it has obtained the required aromas and flavors.

Glenmorangie  Quinta Rubán  is part of the Extra Maturation collection, which in previous years was aged for 12 years in bourbon and port barrels. Quinta Rubán was awarded several gold medals for best whiskey with 12 years of aging by the International Whiskey Competition, (IWC), and by the International Wine & Spirits Competition (IWSC), which demonstrates the dominance and expertise of Dr. Bill Lumsden and the Glenmorangie distillery team in handling extra ripening whiskeys.

Thanks to the success obtained by Quinta Rubán today it is transformed with an evolved packaging and now aged for 14 years, ten years in bourbon barrels and finished in ruby port barrels, resulting in a voluptuous distillate and with a complex balance of flavors that fluctuate between the sweet and dry of the barrels. In addition, with a contrast of fresh and crisp textures on the palate, strengthening the flavors and aromas of chocolate and orange. A true delight for every connoisseur and lover of whiskey.
