Single bottle raises £60k at Cape Wine Auction
South Africa’s Cape Wine Auction has set an all-time event record for a single bottle of wine, raising £57,000 (ZAR1.3m) for a bottle of Touch Warwick 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon
Hosted at Klein Constantia Wine Estate in Cape Town, the 2016 AfrAsia Bank Cape Wine Auction raised a total of ZAR15m (£657,000) for the Cape Wine Auction Trust.
All money raised will be used to fund projects that improve life skills, education and training for underprivileged children in the Cape Winelands.
