Guinness has announced the launch of a new visitor experience at its St James’s Gate Brewery in Dublin

Guinness has announced the launch of a new visitor experience at its St James’s Gate Brewery in Dublin, giving the public access to its experimental brewery for the first time.

The Open Gate Brewery, which for more than 100 years has served as Guinness’ experimental brewery, will be open to the public, giving fans of Guinness a glimpse into the brewery’s home of experimentation and innovation. This is where its brewers have been given licence to experiemnts with new recipes and reinvent old ones.

Guinness-Nitro-Beer-IPA-drinkmemag.com-drink-meVisitors be able to branch out from the brewer’s trademark stout, sampling the latest innovation’s from its Brewers Project – the brewer’s experimental side project – such as Guinness Nitro IPA, Hop House 13 Lager, Guinness Dublin Porter and Guinness West Indies Porter.

Samples of small batch experimental beers will also be available to taste. Its most recent release, Guinness Nitro IPA, is a “nitrogenated” stout brewed from Admiral, Celeia, Topaz, Challenger, and Cacade hops.
