City To Host Rum Festival

Manchester is set to celebrate the city’s first designated rum festival in 2017

07/01/2017

WITH LIVE Caribbean music, a rum brunch and 40 different rums to try – Manchester is set to celebrate the city’s first designated rum festival next summer.

A rum-fuelled time will be had by all from morning ‘till night in various locations across the city on Saturday June 3, while a central festival hub – the location of which is top secret at the moment – will host the day’s main events from 12 to 5pm.

Run by freelance drinks events curator Dave Marsland, aka The Drinks Enthusiast, Manchester Rum Festival tickets are now on sale for £15. Included in the ticket price is a welcome drink, and the chancen to taste your way (responsibly, of course) through around 40 different types of rum across more than 15 stalls at the secret location.

And for anyone still standing, a classic cocktail bar will be on hand to mix up your favourite rum-based concoctions, but these are not included in the price of your ticket.
