Harpoon Brewery is the latest Massachusetts brewery to announce the release of its “Black is Beautiful” imperial stout.

The “Black is Beautiful” initiative was started by San Antonio, Texas brewery Weathered Souls to bring awareness to injustices people of color face daily and to promote diversity and inclusivity in the beer industry.

All participating breweries must pledge to donate proceeds from the sales of the beer to a local non-profit organization that supports equality and inclusion, police reform, and/or legal defense funds for those that have been wronged.
