Buskey Cider is rolling out its Tart Cherry Cider in cans on November 11th, the first flavored cans that the cidery has released. The cherries used in the Tart Cherry lend this cider its signature blush color while complementing the apples to create a bright and refreshing cider. Buskey was the first 12oz six pack of cans released in Virginia and has seen great excitement about adding the Tart Cherry Cider can to their already popular semi-sweet cider, RVA Cider.

“This cider has been a fan favorite since we opened, and we’re pumped to be distributing it in cans,” said founder, Will Correll.

Correll opened Buskey Cider at the age of 26 in last April in the neighborhood of Scott’s Addition, described as Richmond’s booziest craft beverage neighborhood. Buskey is an all American word that was written down in a letter by Ben Franklin detailing what the young people in the taverns were saying during colonial times, when cider was overwhelmingly the most popular alcoholic beverage. Buskey Cider is made with 100% Virginia apples, which comes from Silver Creek and Seamans’ Orchard, located in Nelson County.

Buskey Tart Cherry Cider cans will be released in the tasting room to kick off Virginia Cider Week.
