BridgePort Brewing Company, Oregon’s original craft brewery, announced today that two of its beers won awards at this year’s 25th annual Australian International Beer Awards (AIBA). A fan favorite, Kingpin Double Red IPA, won Bronze in the Other Amber/Dark Ale category and a new brew this year, Fallen Friar, won Silver in the Blonde (Best Belgian / French Style Ale) category.

This is the fourth AIBA medal for Kingpin Double Red Ale (2011, 2012, 2013, 2017); and these two wins for Kingpin and Fallen Friar mark eighteen AIBA medals total for BridgePort Brewing since 2006.

“We really love the AIBA awards. It’s great to see the competition grow each year and to have Kingpin Double Red Ale continue to be awarded,” says Jeff Edgerton, BridgePort’s brewmaster. “However, this year, we’re really excited about Fallen Friar – glad to see one of our brand-new beers in 2017 receive such esteemed recognition.”

KingPin Double Red Ale is available year-round in 6 and 12-packs, as well on draft. BridgePort’s seasonal, Fallen Friar, is available in 22oz. and on draft. For more information, visit: www.bridgeportbrewing.com.
