The 1920’s found James and Agnes Annarella operating a small gas station and repair shop in Little Silver, NJ. On December 5, 1933 the 21st amendment, ending 13 years of Prohibition, was ratified. Sensing the opportunities James and Agnes secured a license to distribute beer. They named their new business Shore Point Distributing Company and began to sell Horton’s Beer. In 1934, Shore Point was appointed as a Schaefer Beer distributor.
Throughout the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s Shore Point continued to grow through superior, award winning service. This dedication led to growth in territory, acquisition of competitors and the garnering of exciting brands like Schlitz, and Molson.
The 1980’s dawned and so did an explosive period of growth for Shore Point. First was the acquisition of a leading brand, in a new, hot category, California Coolers. 1n 1987, Shore Point was awarded distribution rights for the Coors Brewing Company quickly followed by Corona and Sam Adams in 1988. The company invested in a new fleet of trucks and broke ground on a 100,000 square foot facility in Freehold, NJ that opened in May of 1989. These investments made Shore Point a leader in the New Jersey beer distributing industry and positioned them for even more growth and expansion.

Carolina Craft Distributing
Carolina Craft Distributing was started in 2007 with only three people. Our primary focus is on-premise and specialty retail customers. Quality control sets us apart in servicing these customers by having a climate controlled warehouse, refrigerated cooler for all draft, and refrigerated delivery trucks. We are able to deliver a keg at 5:00 on a Friday for the customer to tap immediately.
The main reason for our primary on-premise focus is the portfolio of specialty beers and wines that we represent. We are very proud of surrounding ourselves with so many great brewers and vintners. These great suppliers are all small to medium size. We don’t represent any major brands who would demand a large share of our company's time and resources.
Hop and Wine Beverage
Hop and Wine Beverage is a Virginia ABC licensed wholesale distributor of beer and wine products. For some 80 years, American beer culture has been defined by the industrial giants that gained dominance in the years following the end of prohibition. Since then, United States distributors have been invested in satisfying the overwhelming demand for large-scale production beer that has become so strongly rooted among American consumers. When a new appreciation for the local, small-batch production beer inherent of our pre-prohibition era roots surfaced in the early 1990s, there was not a distributor in the United States who recognized the potential buried in this fresh, though subtle, demand. That is until 1992, when Martin Wetten, inspired by the celebrated preservation of small-craft breweries in Europe and fueled by his progressive vision for the future of craft beer in the United States, founded Wetten Importers, Inc. and proceeded to do what no other distributor had yet envisioned: pioneer the re-emergence of craft beer into the American market. Over the next five years this vision was met with anticipated enthusiasm, and in 1997 Wetten Importers founded Hop & Wine Beverage to take full control of distribution operations in Washington, D.C. and Virginia.
