Founded in 2018, Herdade Barranco do Vale (“HBV”) is an agricultural project aimed to combine the preservation of a unique heritage with the adoption of modern technology and management practices. Located in São Bartolomeu de Messines, in the heart of Serra do Caldeirão, Algarve (south of Portugal) HBV extends for about 100ha consisting of vineyards, cork-oaks , olive, carob and berry trees. With 2 red grape varieties (Castelão and Aragonez), 6 white grape varieties (Arinto, Alvarinho, Antão Vaz. Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier) and a unique native grape (Negra Mole - white and red), HBV currently offers 8 different references (1 rose, 4 whites and 3 reds).
Algarve estate in the municipality of Silves with around 100 ha, of which 10 are vineyards. Mostly constituted by montado, it also has olive trees, pine forests, carob trees and strawberry trees.
