I am an Enologist based in the USA but, I was born in Tuscany. In 2016, I bought 15 acres (6 hectares) of land in my native Country. There, with my wife’s support, I’ve started a farm which is also a nature preserve. At ‘Rocca alla Volpe‘, we make hand-processed sparkling and still wines out of our grapes, from our rootstock-free vines. We also produce an excellent Extra Virgin Olive Oil, processing the olives in a stone miller where the most technological equipment meets the oldest tradition. I believe in agriculture without pesticides. I believe in biocontrol and in good agronomic practices. This is why I only apply a little copper and sulfur in the vineyard.
