Miselle Estate Winery is one of those estates which seem to have been built to last for centuries and whose vineyards have been built slowly with patience and a lot of passion. This ancient Gascon property, dating from the 18th century, has been for a long time dedicated to wine-growing, Armagnac having been produced here since the 19th century. After several successive owners, Miselle Estate is acquired in 1974 by Luis Ocaña, the 1973 Tour de France winner. Under his impulse, the winery is restructured and diversifies into white wine production. The Estate regains its letters patent but in 1994, the death of the former cyclist champion breaks the impetus given to the property. More recently, in 1998, the Chevallier family, originally from the North of France, decides to revive this typical Gascony area winery. A modern winemaking facility is inaugurated and the first Estate-bottled wine range is launched the following year. Today, our family-run Estate pursues its commitment to create, with the greatest possible respect for the vine and the environment, wines that give full expression to the terroir of the Gascony region.
