Light’s View was established in 2001 at Virginia, South Australia by the Carypidis family. Their vision – to create their own exceptional range of Australian wines that offer regional sophistication and strong varietal flavours from their family grape growing business. With 3 generations of grape growing experience behind them, Light’s View focuses on producing the best quality grapes with balanced vines, well spaced fruit and with an abundance of shading and sunlight to ensure optimal results. With the growing demand for organically grown produce, most of the vineyards have been converted to organic growing methods and produce 100% organic organically grown grapes. This was a strict 3 year conversion process with the Biological Farmers of Australia (BFA). The vineyards are farmed without the use of synthetic fertilisers, pesticides and chemicals which over time, can be detrimental to the soil, planet and the wine drinker. We have chosen organic grape growing methods with the fewest detrimental effects on the environment, to obtain the best grapes possible for the Light’s View wine range. Our environmentally friendly farming methods result in healthier vines which allows us to produce wines with strong varietal and distinct terroir characters.
