The commonly perceived stuffiness, aloof negotiants, opaque labeling and sometimes dubious packaging styles may not always help our cause. However, what ultimately matters is the excellent quality of so much of France's wine.

Like it or no, when it comes to winemaking, France's history and experience shine through and as France redefines its position in the new world order of wine, it's this new generation of winemakers who are spurring on this quiet revolution. 

So as well as enjoying a glass or two, we:

• Import roughly 100 wines, offering excellent quality-price rations
• Cover Bordeaux from Left to Right
• Continue to research and expand our Languedoc appellations
• Try to tackle Burgundy from the bottom up.
