Graciano By Basilio berisa are made from grapes from our oldest Graciano vineyard. The harvest comes at the highest point of ripening. Because of the grapes long growing season this varietal is the latest to be harvested giving very ripe and elegant tannins. The grapes are cold soaked and then followed with a cold (68ºF) slow fermentation and an extended long skin contact time of 58 days make this wine unique. This type of elaboration enhances the flavor characters of the varietal, increasing the flavor and aromas of the grapes. After fermentation the wine is aged in French (80%) and american (20%) barrels for 10 months to give this wine balance and softness not often found in this varietal. As result of this elaboration we get a soft full wine with the ability to age for great length of time..

Trying to bring only the best of each vintage to the costumer. As a proffesional winemaker and vineyard manager, I created this project aside of my job, just to make a limited productions, focusing in top quality wines. For the produccion only take the best quality grapes, not every year we can make all the wines. But the results are allways awesome.
